National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
As a part of Redeemer, you are invited to plan a block party (perhaps alongside your neighbors) and take this as an opportunity for you to build purposeful relationships within your neighborhoods!
To help get this started, Redeemer has 10 $100 scholarships available for any family, community group, or neighborhood who will simply commit to these simple guidelines:
1) Block party will be outward focused, meaning that you will intentionally invite and serve your neighbors during National Night Out
2) You will use the scholarship money to provide food, beverages, and activities for your neighborhood
3) Take some pictures of your block party and be willing to share your block party story with the rest of Redeemer as an encouragement!
