3 Months of 30 is a church-wide push to finish out OCT-DEC 2025 with at least $30k in giving each month.

WHY DO THIS?

1 – Revitalize Our Giving

Last year we averaged $34k/month in giving. This year our giving decreased to an average of $27k/month, putting us $67k behind our 2025 budgeted giving to date. This is an invitation to discern the moment and push in the opposite direction, together.

2 - We are Called to be Generous

God expects generosity. Why? Because He is generous. As Watchman Nee put it, “God is so wealthy that his chief delight is to give.” Following His example, we share generously from the wealth we have received (Heb 13:16).

Like all of God’s commands, giving is also good for us. Scripture tells us “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor 9:7) and “it is better to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). We believe this to be true and invite God’s love to shape us as we follow His call of generosity.

3 - As an Act of Faith

Money plays a big role in our faith. Due to the sense of security tied to our finances, it can compete with our trust in God. Jesus lovingly challenged this, because He knew it is far better to trust in God than in wealth (Matt 7:25-34).

This church-wide push is an invitation for all of us to exercise our faith through giving, trusting God to meet our needs along the way.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

To reach our goal of 3 Months of $30k, we’re asking everyone to prayerfully fill out a Giving Commitment Card. This is not a contract, but a commitment. If the Spirit is leading you to give above your current amount, please take this step of faith with us. Each of us have an opportunity to pray and respond. Here is how you might pray about making this commitment:

3 Types of Givers, 3 Invitations of Faith

1. “I Don’t Currently Give”

Pray: Can I commit to give something?

2. “I Sometimes Give”

Pray: Can I commit to give regularly (weekly/bi-weekly)?

Pray: Can I commit to give a consistent monthly amount?

3. “I Regularly Give”

Pray: Can I commit to increase the amount I give?

To put it in perspective, if 100 people committed to give $50 above their current giving, that’s $5k/month extra in giving! When the whole church takes even a small step of faith together, the impact is always massive.

We love because God first loved us. We give because God first gave to us. Our giving is never done to earn God’s approval or acceptance, but rather in done in response to God’s approval and acceptance of us found in Jesus.

When we live as loved, we are able to remember that God gives and withholds so that we can be both generous givers and humble receivers depending on his will for our lives. Depending on the season that God has you in, we hope you remember the goodness of his love for you so that you can enjoy both giving and receiving.

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” - 2 Corinthians 9:7
